The spirit of it
Snootly is for dog people helping dog people. Pupfeed is for the photos, the Community is for the questions, and both should feel like a good dog park: friendly, safe, and about the dogs. Keep it kind, keep it honest, and keep it safe for the animals. These guidelines cover everything you post and how you use Snootly Agent and the voice features. They sit alongside our Terms of Service, and where the two ever disagree, the Terms govern.
1. Where these rules apply
These guidelines apply everywhere on Snootly that other people can see or receive what you share:
- Pupfeed: photos and videos of your dog, captions, likes, and comments.
- The Community: questions, answers, and discussion topics.
- Playdates and events: anything you organise or join.
- Profiles: your name, your photo, your dog's profile, and your bio.
- Sharing and caregiving: invites, shared care sheets, and messages to caregivers.
If you invite others to help care for your dog, you are responsible for making sure they follow these rules too.
2. Be kind and respectful
Disagreeing about raw food or recall training is fine. Going after the person is not. Do not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone, in posts, comments, or anywhere else.
- Post hateful content or attack anyone over race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or similar.
- Shame or pile onto another owner for how they care for their dog. Offer advice, not abuse.
- Impersonate another person, another user, or Snootly itself.
- Share someone else's private information, such as their address, contact details, or photos of them, without their permission.
3. Keep it family friendly
Keep Pupfeed and the Community suitable for all members who meet the age requirements in our Terms of Service. Do not post:
- Nudity or sexual content of any kind, real, drawn, or AI generated.
- Graphic violence or gore. A photo of a healing injury shared for advice is fine; shock content is not.
- Anything that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor. This is reported to the relevant authorities.
- Content promoting self harm, dangerous activities, or illegal drugs.
4. Keep it honest
- Do not send spam, run scams, or post misleading links.
- Do not use Snootly to advertise or sell products or services. Recommending a groomer you genuinely use is fine; running a storefront in the comments is not.
- Do not spread false information presented as fact, especially about dog health, medication, or nutrition, where bad advice can hurt an animal.
- Only post content you own or have the right to share, and nothing illegal or infringing.
5. Keep it safe for the animals
Snootly exists to help dogs live better. Content that shows or encourages animal cruelty, neglect, dog fighting, illegal breeding, or dangerous training practices is not welcome and will be removed. Sharing a hard moment honestly, an injury, an illness, a vet incident, so other owners can learn from it, is completely fine. Glorifying harm is not.
6. Photos and other people
Pupfeed is for your dog, but people end up in photos too. Before you post, make sure anyone recognisable in the shot is happy to be there, and be especially careful with other people's children. When you share a location, a favourite park, a walking route, remember it is visible to others; avoid posting anything that gives away where you or someone else lives.
7. Use AI responsibly
Snootly Agent and the voice features are here to help you care for your dog. Please:
- Do not try to jailbreak, trick, or misuse the AI to produce harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
- Do not feed it other people's personal data that you have no right to share.
- Remember that AI answers are general information, not veterinary advice. For anything medical or urgent, call a vet.
We may review flagged content, including messages to the AI, to keep the service safe and to enforce these rules. See our Privacy Notice for how that data is handled.
8. Do not abuse the platform
- Do not scrape, mirror, or systematically extract data from Snootly.
- Do not send spam or unsolicited messages.
- Do not create accounts to evade a block, a suspension, or a ban.
- Do not try to bypass rate limits, authentication, row-level security, or any other technical protection.
- Do not interfere with, probe, or disrupt the service or the infrastructure running it.
9. Your tools: report and block
Every post and comment on Pupfeed and in the Community has a report option. When you report something you can tell us why: spam or scam, harassment or bullying, hate speech, violence or threats, sexual content, false information, or something else. Reports are confidential; the person you report is not told who reported them.
You can also block any account. Blocking removes their content from your feeds and stops them interacting with yours. You never need our permission to block someone. If reporting in the app is not possible, email hello@snootly.app.
10. Enforcement
We review reports and act on them, and objectionable content may also be removed before anyone reports it. Depending on how serious or repeated the behaviour is, we may remove content, issue a warning, limit features, or suspend or terminate an account, with or without notice. Content that endangers a person or an animal, or that involves a minor, is removed immediately and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
If you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice or email hello@snootly.app and we will take another look.
11. How these guidelines relate to the Terms
These Community Guidelines form part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. They add detail to the acceptable-use rules there. Where anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms take precedence.
