In the app you tap the jar, then shake your phone.

Challenges

Four rhythms of play.

A surprise every day, a trail every week, a quest every month and an event every season. Do as much or as little as the week allows: nothing here is homework.

Weekly trail

Five to finish.

Each week brings a fresh trail of five challenges to walk through at your own pace. Here is a sample week, stop by stop.

Stop 1 of 5

Sniff safari. Scatter a little kibble in the grass for a sniff hunt.

All 5 done: full points

All 5 pays the full points. Stop early, keep half.

Monthly quest

One big quest.

A bigger monthly push: one proper challenge worth planning a weekend around. A few from the catalogue:

  • Adventure day. Forest, beach, or hills: one proper outing somewhere wild.
  • Pup picnic. Pack snacks for both of you and eat outdoors together.
  • All aboard. Take your dog on a bus, train, or ferry to somewhere fun.
  • Party trick premiere. Teach one silly trick, spin, high five, or speak, and film the debut.
  • Give back. Donate old toys or blankets, or treat a shelter dog.

Seasonal events

Four seasons, sixty stops.

Four limited time events a year, each a trail of small seasonal things to do together, from a blossom stroll in spring to a nose boop under the mistletoe. Finish a season for a bonus: 500 Paws, or 1,000 for the Advent.

Four portraits of the same corgi, one for each season: a flower crown, sunglasses, an autumn leaf and a winter scarf

Games

72 games for rainy afternoons.

Enrichment games in six groups of twelve, each with simple steps, what you will need and a note on keeping it safe. Games are just for fun: they never earn points, so nothing rides on finishing one.

Something else on your mind? Ask us

What are Paws for?

Paws celebrate your activity in Snootly. Challenges and badges add to your dog's lifetime total, and milestones at 3,000, 7,500 and 15,000 Paws mark how far you have come together. They have no cash value and cannot currently be exchanged for products, discounts or gifts.

How does the daily treat jar work?

Once a day you tap the jar, then shake your phone, and one surprise challenge pops out for your dog. Most are small games or photo moments worth 25 Paws. On National Dog Day and on Valentine's Day, a 50 Paws special replaces the usual draw.

Do we have to finish every challenge?

No. The weekly trail has five challenges: finishing all five pays the full points, and if you stop early you keep half. The monthly quest and any seasonal event run alongside it, so there is always something to pick up or happily leave.

Do games earn Paws?

No, games are just for fun. There are 72 enrichment games in six groups, from nose work and food puzzles to calm time together, and none of them keeps score.

What happens to challenge photos?

Some challenges ask for a photo as proof. The photo is always saved to your dog's Moments, and sharing it to PupFeed is up to you.

When are the seasonal events?

Spring Arrival runs from 20 March to 20 April, Summer Beach Days from 1 July to 31 August, Halloween from 18 to 31 October and the Christmas Advent from 1 to 24 December. Finishing a season adds a 500 Paws bonus, or 1,000 for the Advent.
