Delete your Snootly account

How to delete your account in the Snootly app, or by email if you no longer have the app. Snootly is made by Mistral Spark Limited.

In brief

Delete your account from your Profile in the app, or email hello@snootly.appwith the subject “Delete my account”. Your account closes straight away. We erase your data within 30 days and email you when it is done. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel that separately.

Delete in the app

This works the same on iPhone and Android.

  1. Open Snootly and go to your Profile.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, below Sign Out.
  3. Read what will be deleted, then type DELETE to confirm.
  4. Tap Delete my account permanently.

Delete without the app

You do not need the app installed to delete your account.

  1. Email hello@snootly.app from the email address on your Snootly account.
  2. Use the subject “Delete my account”.
  3. We may ask you to confirm it is your account before we act. Once confirmed, we delete it as described below.

What happens next

  • Your account is closed straight away and you can no longer sign in.
  • Your data is then erased within 30 days.
  • We email you to confirm when the deletion is done.

This cannot be undone. You can sign up again later, but your past data is gone.

What we delete

  • Your account and profile.
  • Your dogs, their records and care entries, photos and documents.
  • Walks, meals and training records.
  • Posts, comments and other content you shared.
  • Caregivers you invited lose their access.
  • Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google and Google Calendar access are revoked.
  • Analytics and ad measurement data linked to your account.

What we keep, and for how long

We keep only what the law or the deletion itself needs, as set out in Section 9 of the Privacy Notice:

  • The deletion reference and the information needed to finish and verify the cleanup, until the cleanup is resolved.
  • Subscription and payment records, where tax and consumer law require it.
  • Limited records where required for legal, payment, fraud prevention or security obligations.
  • Records of rights requests and moderation decisions, together with consent records and terms acceptance records, kept as necessary to demonstrate compliance and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, as set out in our internal retention schedule.

Keeping these records does not allow us to continue optional analytics or tracking.

Subscriptions

Snootly Pro is billed by Apple on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription or a free trial, and the store can keep charging you. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You can delete your account straight away, even while the subscription is still active.

Delete some data, keep your account

You do not have to delete your whole account. Posts, photos, documents and logs can each be deleted on their own in the app.
