The short version
- Snootly is a subscription. New subscribers get a free week on the plan they pick, then Snootly Pro is billed by Apple. Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings, at least 24 hours before the free week ends if you do not want to be charged. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.
- What you post stays yours. If your profile is public we may feature your public posts to promote Snootly, credited to you, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
- The Snootly Agent is not a vet. For anything medical, see a vet.
- The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. Content that breaks them can be hidden or removed, and you can ask a person to review any decision.
- These terms follow the law of England and Wales, and they do not take away your statutory rights as a consumer.
This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what govern your use of Snootly.
1. Who we are and what these terms are
Snootly is operated by Mistral Spark Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16874200 (“Snootly”, “we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of the Snootly app and the snootly.app website. Our Community Guidelines set out the standards for what you share and form part of these terms. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data; it is a separate document and does not form part of this agreement.
You accept these terms by tapping continue at sign-in, where they are linked. We keep a record of the version you accepted and when. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before continuing.
2. Who can use Snootly
You must be at least 13 years old, or at least 16 if you live in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. By using Snootly you confirm you meet this requirement. Snootly is for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Apple or Google account; we do not hold a password for you. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, contact us at hello@snootly.app.
4. Snootly Pro
4.1 Snootly is free to download. Using the app requires a Snootly Pro subscription, available as a weekly, monthly or annual plan, at the prices shown in the App Store before you buy; prices may differ by country. New subscribers get an introductory free period, currently one week, on whichever plan they choose, as shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. Apple offers this free period once per Apple ID for the Snootly Pro subscription group, not once per plan. When the free period ends, the subscription renews automatically at the plan price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The length of the free period, the price it converts to and how to cancel are shown in the app before you start.
4.2 Pro gives access to all of Snootly's features, currently including Training, Pup Kitchen, Days Out and the Snootly Agent. Some features carry fair use limits, such as daily limits on AI conversations, to keep the service running well for everyone; where a specific limit matters to you, the current limits are shown in the app. We may add features to Pro over time.
4.3 Billing is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Subscriptions are individual and do not support Family Sharing.
4.4 Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's rules; we are not able to issue refunds ourselves. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, your Pro access ends immediately.
4.5 Important: deleting your Snootly account does not cancel your subscription. Apple manages the payment relationship, so to stop payments you must cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. We remind you of this on the account deletion screen.
5. Your content
5.1 What you post stays yours. So that we can run Snootly, you give us permission to host, store, display, format and back up your content, to show it to the people your settings allow, and to process it for the safety screening described in Section 7. This permission is limited to operating and protecting the service and ends when your content or account is deleted, except for copies we must keep for the limited purposes described in the Privacy Notice.
5.2 Promotional use of public posts. If your profile is public, we may feature your public posts (including the photos and captions in them) to promote Snootly, for example on our website or social channels, always credited to your profile name. We will not use posts from private profiles this way. You can tell us to stop featuring your content at any time by emailing hello@snootly.app or deleting the post, and we will remove it from future promotional use.
5.3 Only share what you have the right to share. Content that includes other people, their pets or their property is your responsibility.
6. Rules
Use Snootly lawfully and decently. Do not post content that is illegal, harmful to children, harassing, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes anyone's rights; do not spam, scrape, probe or interfere with the service; do not attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours. The Community Guidelines give fuller examples and form part of these terms.
7. Safety, moderation and enforcement
7.1 Content you upload is screened automatically, and images are checked using Google's Gemini service, as described in the Privacy Notice.
7.2 If content is identified as breaking these terms or the Community Guidelines, we may hide or remove it. When we hide your content, we notify you in the app, and you can contest the decision using the “Ask for a review” option; a person will review it and we will tell you the outcome.
7.3 You can report posts that concern you from the post itself, and block any user; blocking works in both directions, so a blocked user and you no longer see or interact with each other's content.
7.4 For serious or repeated breaches, or where the law requires it, we may restrict or permanently end your access to Snootly. If we do, we will tell you why, unless the law prevents us, and you may appeal by emailing hello@snootly.app.
7.5 Complaints about content, moderation decisions, or how the service has treated you can be raised in-app through “Ask for a review” where available, or by emailing hello@snootly.app. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days.
8. Snootly Agent and voice
The Snootly Agent is an AI assistant. It can be wrong, and it is not a veterinary service: nothing it says is veterinary advice, and you should always consult a vet about your pet's health. Voice conversations are optional and run only after you have agreed on the voice consent screen; how they are processed is described in the Privacy Notice.
9. Households and caregivers
If you invite someone to your household as a caregiver, they can see and add to your pet's records as the app describes. Invite only people you trust, and remove caregivers you no longer wish to have access; removal takes effect immediately.
10. Sharing and visibility
If your profile is public, a post can be viewed by anyone who has its link, as the share screen tells you when you share. Comments, likes and follower lists are not shown on link views. If your profile is private, your posts are visible only to signed-in users you allow. Profile pictures are visible regardless of this setting.
11. Beta period
Snootly is currently in a testing phase. Things may change, break or be withdrawn without notice, and test data may be reset before public launch; where a reset will remove your data, we will tell you in advance in the app. These terms apply during the beta in full.
12. Third-party services
Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google are provided by Apple and Google under their own terms. The app is distributed through Apple's App Store, and Apple's standard licence terms apply to your download to the extent they go beyond these terms. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content or support, and has no obligation to you in relation to these terms, but may enforce them as a third-party beneficiary to the extent Apple's App Store rules require.
13. Our property
The Snootly app, its design, branding, software and everything in it apart from user content belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose while these terms apply. Do not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
14. Ending things
You can stop using Snootly at any time and delete your account in Settings; deletion removes your account and content as described in the Privacy Notice, and Section 4.5 applies to any subscription. We can end these terms as described in Section 7.4, or with reasonable notice if we withdraw the service; if we withdraw the service while you have paid for a period you have not received, Apple's refund process applies.
15. Your legal rights, and the limits of our responsibility
15.1 Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, or any right the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to exclude.
15.2 Subject to Section 15.1: Snootly is provided as described and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free; we are not responsible for user content, for decisions you take in reliance on AI outputs, or for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms; and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100 if you have paid nothing.
16. Changes to these terms
We will publish updated terms with a new effective date and keep previous versions available. For material changes we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before continuing; for minor changes, continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
17. Law, disputes, and who you are dealing with
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live elsewhere in the UK, in the EU, or in another country whose consumer protection rules cannot be excluded by agreement, you keep the protection of those rules and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of these terms still applies. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business; if we do, we will tell you, and your rights under these terms will not be reduced. These terms are between you and us: no one else has rights to enforce them, except Apple as described in Section 12.
